We strive to create a welcoming environment for all cyclists from beginner to elite, with friendly, unbiased advice and offering exceptional value to break down the barriers of entry for cyclists from all walks of life.
Our Story
Our humble journey started as a hobby to earn a little extra cash by trading pre-owned bicycles and parts. We quickly realised we had the opportunity to turn our trading hobby into a business and thus Bike Market was born. In 2016 we opened up shop in Melville out of a garage and started selling pre-owned bicycles. We quickly outgrew that space and settled into our current shop in Kramerville just outside of Sandton. To better serve the rest of South Africa we have also built and grown our online store and web presence that allows us to serve the whole of South Africa and neighbouring African countries.
Our Ethos
Bike Market strives to democratize cycling making cycling accessible to everyone. We do this by breaking down the barriers of entry to cycling. We think everyone should be riding the highest spec bike they can. We believe second hand is cool & is just as good as a new bike. It’s better for the environment too!
